RoviMo® goes international

In an earlier blog I reported on the fascination of this development of the service robot and the start-up behind it. It is impressive what progress has been made in the last few months and how an innovation develops to market maturity.

Through my support in the area of production and supply chain, I can follow the whole project very closely. I have not lost my fascination or my belief in success for a single day (except perhaps for a short time after another postponement of our urgently needed components to date "unknown").

So we have reached two important milestones in the last few weeks. Firstly, the CHF 3 million guarantee from the Technology Fund of the Swiss Confederation (see details in the separate blog below). Secondly, the internationalisation of our RoviMo^®.

Last week, the first RoviMo^® outside of Switzerland was delivered in France and put into operation together with our partner MGE. This is an important step, as a large market is opening up for Ronovatec and we have been able to prove that we are able to handle exports on schedule. In addition to the current projects in Switzerland, further projects are planned in Germany, Austria, the Netherlands and the UK. Also on the agenda are the first demonstrations in Italy at a very renowned Serie A club. All in all, we have a very tight schedule for the rest of the year: everyone wants to see RoviMo^® live in action.

Furthermore, as a start-up with progress towards scale-up, we like to be a little different and unconventional. In Switzerland, people usually talk about money very discreetly. We talk about it directly because it is part of the nature of a start-up to raise money for further development.
