"We can see from this that we are rather striving for something else: to achieve an extreme material utilization, i.e. a maximum effect with a minimum of matter.1"
Max Bill wrote this in his essay "Beauty from Function". Max Bill is a co-founder of the HfG Ulm, a school that has gone down in the history of design. The Ulmer Stool2, his most famous work, is practical, multifunctional and robust. One could almost call it the Swiss Army Knife of Stools. This is a strange name for a stool, but it can be used as a seat, side table, lectern, part of a shelf, tray and carrying aid.

This is also the idea of our robot. It shall become the Swiss Army knife of the mowing robots. According to the model and philosophy of the Ulmer Stool, the robot should be multifunctional but easy to operate.

I am Michael Rohner and I am responsible for the condition of the robot. It should be modern, flexible and robust. That's why the robot can be made to run with just a few buttons, but if you want to have precise control over the mowing parameters, you can have it via app. By supplementing the operation with the app, we guarantee independence from mobile phones and still make use of their strengths. We have worked together with greenkeepers on the operation, tested again and again and as a last step we removed as much frills as possible. This way, a maximum of usability with a minimum of design should be achieved.

[3] If you are afraid that the robot can only be operated via app, you can relax. You can control the robot in a multitude of methods. We do everything we can to make the robot as resilient as possible.
