Who is Robert Weinhold?

Swiss quality, innovation, mechanics, motors and design: all things that make my heart beat faster!
 
Even as a child I was fascinated by engines, technology and vehicles in general. In his own garage, my father taught me a lot about how to handle a wide variety of materials and tools. He sowed the seeds of what would become my profession: car mechanic, fabricator and coachbuilder.
 
With him I was tinkering around until late in the evening, something that I still enjoy doing to this day. Later I managed my own garage. I am a doer: give me an old car, a motorbike or anything with an engine and I will fiddle with it and mend it so that it runs smoothly again. My recreation area and my oasis of well-being are tractors, two-wheelers, old and new cars - no matter if that is going for a drive with my family or getting my hands dirty in the workshop.
When I got wind of the idea of the first autonomous cylinder lawnmower that can automatically mow patterns, I was completely fascinated. I wanted to be part of it - right from the start. A vehicle that drives autonomously, with a transmission that is electrically driven: progressive and ecological - in keeping with the spirit of the present and future.
 
That's why I decided to invest in the idea and in the company. I have been Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ronovatec AG since the company’s inception; so our robot and indeed our whole team is very close to my heart. When an idea turns into a prototype and the first production machines, I am incredibly motivated and proud. We all work hard and give everything; because the competition never sleeps.
So I am very pleased that I am now working at Ronovatec not "only" as their Chairman, but now also directly contributing to their success. We are a small but incredibly strong team and complement each other very well. We all pull together and I really enjoy that. Now, I can get involved in different areas: supporting our customers in the commissioning of our robot installations, market research on everything to do with mechanics and of course I will help out wherever else I can. I will continue to work dilligently in my special field as a Member of the Board of Directors - Client and Investor Relationship Management; a key strength of mine is that I can deal well with practically any character type of person. This is probably due to my open-mindedness, but maybe also a little bit to my experience as a manager in the catering industry.

However, from the first of January 2021, I will give up my position as Chairman of the Board of Directors and become Vice Chairman.
 
I am pleased to be part of the operational team now and look forward to working together to make both the product and the company a success.
