Alive and KICKING!

Sorry for the lack of dialogue over the past six weeks. We’ve all had our noses to the grindstone working hard to test RoviMo.

 

Time for an update. On Testing, a Job opening and the Launch event in October 1st, 2020.

 

Whatever the weather (and to be honest it hasn’t been that bad until now) we’ve been out testing RoviMo to get him shipshape for launch on October 1st (more later).

The internals have been reworked from our ‘mule’ with new boards and wiring, software updates and new components.

Sight / Vision: We’ve been fine tuning RoviMo’s sight via Lidar. We’ll post a video later where it’s stationary and gets triggered by a butterfly flying by. Kids, dogs and other obstructions should be fully visible with the tweaks we’ve recently made. Still some fine tuning to be sure but we’re really pleased with progress so far.

Battery: Testing of endurance and battery life is going well too. Again we’re on target but we’d rather keep the numbers to ourselves at the moment. Under promise and over deliver not the other way around.

Mowing: Working well, making stripes and a good cut. Still more to do to please everyone but well on the right way.

Distraction: RoviMo has been subject to a little abuse recently. We’ve been trying to push it off-course which could lead to claims of violence against a robot but he bounces right back on-course maintaining his planned path.

Hiring: We posted a new job on our site (German) so if you know anyone with the skills please get them to apply as soon as possible. We’re a great team, we all contribute and profit from each other and more importantly we have fun whilst growing.

Launch. All this hard work is in preparation of our official launch. Put this date in your diary. October 1st 2020. Or 1. Okotober 2020. Doesn’t matter which language the excitement’s the same. You can read more here….
